Meet the Team
Jim Douglas
Vice President/ACA Consultant
Jim Douglas always had a strong work ethic. Back in the day, both of Jim’s grandparents and parents worked full time, so you might say that it runs in the family. During elementary school, Jim rode his bike and delivered the morning newspaper to the neighborhood. In high school, he worked multiple jobs to help save towards college. After attending a local community college, then transferring to USC and attaining a scholarship, he was the first in his family to graduate from college, where he attained a B.S in Finance. Later, he returned to obtain a MBA in Entrepreneurship and Management from USC. After college, he immediately started his career in employee benefits.
A family-oriented man, Jim is equally proud of his wife, a special education teacher for a public school; his daughter who graduated from Cal State Long Beach and enjoys working in hospitality; and son who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy while playing ice hockey and currently serves in the U.S. Navy.
Jim is passionate about helping manufacturing businesses through the complex maze of compliance and employee benefits. Jim has worked with Prudential Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, and other companies that worked with insurance brokers. He saw a need which was unfilled by 99% of the brokers and has successfully built two companies (Truing.Shop and EExcel HR Solutions) to help small-medium size businesses. Jim is honored to serve his clients and takes great pride in an excellent customer retention rate of over 99%.
